We always support Daffodil Day in Glór Na Mara, and this year we had more fun than ever as we all made a great effort to wear something yellow for the big day!!!

This day is such a worthy cause and we want to give a huge thank you to all of our wonderful children and their parents for supporting our no-uniform day.  We also want to thank all of our staff who gave great support to our coffee morning.

Both fund-raising events raised a grand total of €1,150.  We are very proud of everyone involved and we are sure this money will help many families who have have affected by cancer.

The pupils of 3rd and 4th class are very proud of themselves this week as their photography exhibition finally got underway.   We had plenty of visitors to the school to view the exhibition throughout the week and we were delighted to be joined by Frank O’Donoghue, Andy Kelly and Senator Grace O’Sullivan for the opening of the exhibition on Tuesday.

The children had a variety of old photographs of recognisable places in Tramore and they re-took the photograph in the same spot as it looks today.  Old and new photographs were then displayed together.  It was a wonderful way to see how much Tramore has changed over the years.  Thanks so much  to Frank and Andy for providing so many of the old photographs.

All the other classes in the school visited the exhibition in the hall, and had ‘guides’ from Third & Fourth class to show them around.

Both 4th classes were lucky enough to get the opportunity to go to the Theatre Royal to see a wonderful production of ‘Private Peaceful’ by Michael Murpurgo.  We were spellbound for the whole show!!

Chuamar go dtí an leabharlann chun éisteacht leis an scéalaí Niall DeBúrca ag insint scealta duinn.  Bhaineamar an-taitneamh as.  Go raibh míle maith agat Niall.
